[ once upon an evening dreary, while eddie pondered, high and bleary over many a quaint and curious volume of trouble with his paramour while he nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping as if small hands gently rapping, rapping as if to implore that the young stone should step forth and open curtains, create a door, "fuck OFF pigeons," he muttered, "shut up and let me snore." only this then nothing more.
but lo did come a chittering, a chattering, a sound that shook him to his core, a sound that reminds him of bleak skies, a sound that wrenches forth images of gore, one that makes the bones ache where they sit in his dresser drawer, and eddie munson did leap, he did soar, only to let out a roar, as he beheld the sight of a window not as it was before, and eddie munson did not feel much like sleeping anymore. ]
SHIT!
[ he throws himself back from the window, tripping over himself in an effort to get away as the mass moves and he recognizes it for what it is. a whole bat colony, stuck right to the screen of his window. jabbering and yanking at it like they want in. he has the wherewithal to lurch upward, slamming the window shut as he notices little claws starting to poke their way through the screen. ]
SHIT, SHIT, SHIT SHIT!
[ he snatches his phone from where it had fallen, decimated by the late night tantrum. the screen turns on right to his conversation with billy, but the keyboard largely fail to respond to his frantic fingers ]
t ss hrvoe t s
[ Eddie bites his knuckles. They're in the middle of that stupid fucking fight, Hargrove's asking if he should fuck some girl's boyfriend and - shit. SHIT. He glances back to the window, the lightbulb going off as he smashes the camera button with his thumb and yanks it up to eyelevel and hammers on the send button with his pointer until it finally registers. ]
[ Guess who got that morning notif too. It's late in the afternoon when he texts him about it, since he hasn't been able to get those first thirty seconds out of his head all day. ]
Do you think Steve knows that me and the vampire on our couch are different beings? Because I'm getting more and more concerned that he doesn't get that we are not the same entity and he's looking at two nipple Eddie and thinking about trading up.
[ Near to Billy's place Steve catches sight of himself in the rear-view mirror and almost slams his car into a damn pedesterian. Her car. Her car! Yelling, she parks up for a minute and pats herself down, swearing furiously when she cups between her legs ("OhmygodOHMYGOD!! No!") and can only thump the steering wheel to let her frustration out. A text is fired off to Billy, whose apartment is only around the corner, and she bitches him out all the way there even though he isn't around to hear it. ]
WHAT IN THE GODDAMN HELL ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT!!!
[ Steve walks up to Billy's front door in a huff, shoving her long hair over her shoulders as it gets in her mouth, wobbling as she gets used to her new sense of gravity, hips wider to plant her feet in a narrower stance. Her jacket doesn't fit properly and The Tits(TM) are pushing their way out of Steve's tight stripy shirt as if they could be freed from sheer pressure. ]
Billy! Open up!! I know you did this somehow, open the door!
